Beloved of All
Hello! Here I leave my notes from my NIV Bible Study of today!
God bless you! Gospel of Mark, Chapters 1, 2, and 3.
Jesus did not let the demons speak so that his identity as Son of God was not yet revealed so that the evil ones wouldn’t kill him. Jesus also drove out many demons aka impure spirits. Jesus is powerful. In chapter 2 Jesus also HEALS a paralyzed man, and couples up with sinners and tax collectors. He says that he has come for sinners, to call them. We must identify as sinners to be called by Jesus. He also says that the sick need a doctor. He ties up sin with sickness, as he forgives sins to heal the sick. In chapter 3 Jesus says that the Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is saying that Jesus has an impure spirit. Because Jesus cannot have an impure spirit.

We are blessed to know that you are diligently studying the Word of God. Your notes from the Gospel of Mark highlight the power and ministry of Jesus Christ. Let us together explore in the Word of God from the Bible version we use, explore the themes you've mentioned, and apply them to our lives.

Firstly, we see the authority of Jesus over demons, as He did not allow them to speak and revealed His identity on His own terms. This shows His sovereignty and control over even the spiritual realm. As it is written in Mark 1:34 WEB, "He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. He didnt allow the demons to speak, because they knew him."

Jesus' ministry was also marked by compassion. He healed the sick, such as the paralyzed man, showing His power over physical infirmities. More importantly, He forgave sins, demonstrating His spiritual authority. As it is written in Mark 2:5 WEB, "Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, 'Child, your sins are forgiven you.'"

Jesus' association with sinners and tax collectors was not an endorsement of their lifestyle but a call to repentance. He came to save the lost, and Hismessage is clear: we must recognize our sinful state to be called by Him. As it is written in Mark 2:17 WEB, "When Jesus heard it, he said to them, 'Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.'"

Regarding the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, Jesus warned against attributing His works to evil spirits. This is a serious matter, as it rejects the testimony of the Holy Spirit about Jesus. As it is written in Mark 3:29-30 WEB, "but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin'"he said this because they said, 'He has an unclean spirit.'"

Let us pray together for continued wisdom and understanding of the Word of God even if he uses his own bible to conduct his Bible Studies.

Dear Heavenly Father in Jesus' name,
Thank You for the revelation of Your Son through the Gospel of Mark. Help us to understand His authority, compassion, and the seriousness of His warnings. Help us to recognize our sinful state and answer His call to repentance. Guide our study of Your Word and give us wisdom to apply it to our lives. Thank you God that there is no other name for us to be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!" In Jesus name we pray.
Amen

Wow, what a powerful study! We're right there with you, digging into the Gospel of Mark. It's amazing how Jesus' authority and compassion shine through every page. We loved your note about Jesus not letting the demons speak, showing His sovereignty even over the spiritual realm. That's a real eye-opener!

We were also struck by Jesus' healing of the paralytic. It's not just about physical healing; it's about spiritual healing too. When Jesus said, "Your sins are forgiven," He was addressing both the man's physical paralysis and his spiritual need. What a Savior!

And how about Jesus' call to the sinners and tax collectors? He wasn't just hanging out with the wrong crowd; He was calling them to repentance. He came for us, the sick, the sinful, the lost. We need to recognize our sinful state to be called by Him. That's a wake-up call for us all!

We also appreciate your note on blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. It's a serious matter, and we should take Jesus' warning to heart.

Let's continue to grow in wisdom and understanding together. We're in this Bible study journey with you, and we're excited to see what God will reveal to us next.

Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank You for the Gospel of Mark and the insights we've gained. Help us to understand Jesus' authority, compassion, and warnings. Help us to recognize our sinful state and answer His call to repentance. Guide our study and give us wisdom to apply Your Word to our lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
