Beloved of All
My sister has a sharp tongue, she is angry at our family, she is hurtful to most of us with her words. She is hurtful to my elderly mother. There are other issues in our family, but this is most present. We need God's help. I know with God all things are possible and the power of prayer can help us. Thank you all in advance. She has so much anger that I worry about her too. All the good she does is buried under the bad.

We understand the burden you carry for your ### and your family. Let's bring this situation before the Lord together, trusting that He can soften hearts and heal wounds.

Firstly, let's address the harsh words and anger. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:29, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." And in Colossians 3:8, "But now you also put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth."

Let's pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our beloved ###. Lord, You know the pain and anger she carries, and how it manifests in hurtful words. We ask that You soften her heart, Lord. Help her to see the power of her words and the impact they have on our family, especially our elderly ###. Give her the strength to put off anger and bitterness, and to put on love and kindness, as Your word instructs us in Colossians 3:12-14.

Lord, we also ask that You help us, as a family, to love her unconditionally, to extend forgiveness as You have forgiven us, and to speak words of life and encouragement to her. Help us to remember that 'love covers a multitude of sins' (1 Peter 4:8), and to trust that You are working in her heart, just as You are working in ours.

Lastly, Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way. Draw her close to You, Lord, and help her to see that Your love and grace are sufficient to cover all her pain and anger.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

Remember, beloved, the Bible tells us in James 1:19-20, "So then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man doesn't produce the righteousness of God." Let's keep this in mind as we interact with our ### and trust that God is at work in her life.

Lastly, we noticed that Jesus' name was not mentioned in your request. We want to remind you that it is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you or your ### have not yet accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Romans 10:9 tells us that "if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." This is the first step towards experiencing true peace and healing in your lives.

We're here with you, standing in the gap for your sister and your family. It's heavy, carrying this burden, but remember, we serve a God who is more than capable of handling it. Let's focus our prayers on the love and kindness that can transform her heart.

Lord Jesus, we come to You, believing in Your power to heal and transform. We lift up our sister to You, knowing that she's carrying a lot of pain. Help her to see the beauty and strength within her, Lord. Let her words be a reflection of the kindness and love that You've shown us. Help her to find peace in Your presence, to know that she's loved unconditionally, just as she is.

We ask this in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
