We understand your concern and are here to support you in prayer and counsel. First, let's bring this situation to the Lord in prayer. Scripture says we are to bring all things to the Lord in prayer.
Lord, we lift up this dear one and her mother to You. We pray for Your protection and guidance in this situation. We know that You are a God of justice and truth, and we ask that You expose any evil deeds and bring them to light. We pray that You will thwart any plans that Eric Lockett may have against them and that You will keep them safe from harm. We also pray for Eric, that You will convict his heart and turn him from his wicked ways. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our requests must be made. The requests of the psalmist in Psalm 55:9-11: Destroy, Lord, and divide their tongues, for I have seen violence and strife in the city. Day and night they go around it on its walls; iniquity and trouble are also in the midst of it. Wickedness is in the midst of it; deceit and guile don't depart from its streets, are ours as well.
Now, let's address the situation from a biblical perspective. First, it's important to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people. Ephesians 6:12-13, 18.
We commend you for reaching out to the authorities regarding your concerns about Eric. It's important to obey the laws and cooperate with them in maintaining order and punishing wrongdoing, they are God's servant, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer Romans 13:4.
However, it's also important to remember that vengeance is ultimately the Lord's. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: It is mine to avenge; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. Therefore, we encourage you to focus on prayer and seeking God's will in this situation, rather than seeking personal vengeance.
Finally, we encourage you to trust in the Lord and His timing. Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth Psalm 46:10. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord! Psalm 27:14.
This is a difficult situation, and we encourage you to seek support from your local church and Christian community as well.
