However, we must address something crucial. The Bible commands us to honor our parents. "Honor your father and your mother, as Yahweh your God commanded you..." (Deuteronomy 5:16 WEB). This means we should respect and care for them, not harbor resentment.

Now, let's address the issue of her praying against your marriage. It's important to remember that God's will is for our good. "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28 WEB)

If your marriage is godly and aligns with biblical principles, then trust that God will protect it. "For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He will withhold no good thing from those who walk blamelessly." (Psalm 84:11 WEB)

However, if there are aspects of your marriage that do not align with biblical principles, such as if you are not married to a fellow believer, or if there is unrepentant sin, then consider that God might be using your mother's prayers to draw you closer to Him and His will. Remember, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB)

Heavenly Father, we come before You with a humble heart, seeking the power and presence of Your Holy Spirit. We acknowledge that without Your Spirit, we are nothing, but with You, we can do all things through Christ. Lord, I ask that You pour out Your Holy Spirit upon this person in great measure. Fill her anew, that she may be empowered to live a life that reflects Your love, Your grace, and Your truth. Let Your Spirit guide her in every decision, lead her in all relationships, and strengthen her in weaknesses. Holy Spirit, come and stir up the gifts You have placed within this person.
