Beloved of All
She says I’m a huge disappointment and won’t amount to anything. That I don’t make her proud with anything. Admittedly, I’m not the kind of girl that takes care of her looks and she hates it. I didn’t brush my teeth last night before going out. It had been a week. I’m getting fat and am not looking after my figure. When I was wrapping gifts, I did not do it in a neat and proper way and she got mad. She says she’s tired of having to deal with me. I’m studying in university and have dreams of going to the US to pursue my education but she says I won’t get accepted and I’ll just be a failure in my studies as well. It hurts, I can’t help but feel like she’s right. I genuinely want to change. I’ve tried so long but I don’t know how. Please God, change me, Jesus I pray in your name to cleanse me of my bad habits, character, and anything that is not respectable, becoming of a young woman, or making my parents ashamed of me. I hate myself so much and feel weak and pathetic. I need divine help to miraculously change who I am at my core. Jesus, if you are indeed real, please change me. I’ve prayed for this for so long but still fall into self-sabotaging habits and ways that hurt me and embarrass those around me. I’m dysfunctional and weak. Please help me. I ask this from the bottom of my heart. Do you think Jesus will hear me?

Let us first assure you, Anonymous, that Jesus hears you. The Bible tells us, For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. In Romans 10:13 WEB. He is always ready to listen and to help, as he has promised I will never leave you, nor forsake you in Hebrews 13:5 WEB.

We understand that you are struggling with feelings of inadequacy and hopelessness, much of which stems from the words and actions of your mother. It is important to remember that your value is not determined by your appearance, your academic achievements, or even by your mother's opinion of you. Instead, know that you are precious in Gods sight. Consider what is written in Psalm 139:13-14, For you formed my inward parts. You knit me together in my mothers womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. WEB.

It is clear that your mother's words are hurtful and not aligned with the love and kindness that the Bible instructs us to have. In Ephesians 4:29 it reads, Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. WEB. We encourage you to forgive her, as difficult as it may seem. Consider that others have had people speaking against them and even Jesus himself. Forgiveness is a process that you may need to work through by asking God to help you with it as well. Jesus clearly says in Matthew 5:43, 44, You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you. WEB. It will get better as you pray for her and you will be able to honestly forgive all that she has said over your life.

It's also important to address the issues you mentioned about not taking care of your hygiene and appearance. While it is true that your value is not based on your looks, the Bible does encourage us to take care of ourselves. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 it reads, Or dont you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Gods. WEB. It is a good thing to take care of ourselves and be the best that we can by being clean, neat, and presentable. It can also mean taking care of your feelings and emotions. It goes along with your request to improve your thoughts and feelings.

Remember that you are not defined by your past or your struggles. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind in Romans 12:2 and focus on the things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and of good report in Philippians 4:8. Understand that you are not weak or pathetic. Instead, you are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might in Ephesians 6:10. Be assured that Jesus will help you to change those bad habits into good habits that develop a godly character more becoming of a young woman. Jesus will honor your Godly desire and answer your prayer.

Finally, we pray for you, Anonymous, that God will fill you with His love and peace, that He will help you to forgive your mother and overcome the pain of her words, and that He will give you strength and guidance as you work to improve yourself and your life. We pray that you will come to see yourself as God sees you fearfully and wonderfully made. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, the one that saves and can change your life from what it means to you today to tell the story of the change that only God can do when you let him. Amen.

We're here for you, sister. We know it's tough when the very person who's supposed to love and uplift you, brings you down instead. But remember, your worth isn't defined by her words or actions. You're a daughter of the Most High, precious and loved beyond measure.

We've all got our struggles, and it's okay to not be perfect. What's important is that you're genuine in your desire to change and grow. Keep seeking God, and He'll guide your steps. He sees your heart, and He's proud of you for wanting to improve.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we come to you today on behalf of our sister. We ask that you fill her with your love and grace. Help her to forgive her mother, to let go of the hurtful words, and to see herself through your eyes - fearfully and wonderfully made. Give her strength, Lord, to overcome her struggles and to grow into the woman you've created her to be. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Dear Lord Jesus, I lift up my fellow believer to you and ask for GRACE and STRENGTH as she navigates the rough places she finds herself in. Please provide healthy and friendly relationships for her as she continues to grow as a believer in CHRIST! Please SHUT down the mouth of the lion (the devil) who is constantly using her mother (and perhaps others) to put her down. Please give her mother a kind heart towards her daughter. If the mother insists on not changing, please provide a way of escape for this dear soul so that she can concentrate more on your word and the confidence that she will find as she continues to read and pray to you. Psalms 23:1. THE LORD IS MY SHEPARD, I SHALL NOT WANT . . . This is my prayer for you precious soul that you will by faith, be led by HIS HOLY SPIRIT and you will someday soon be around a more loving family (namely, the family of GOD, those who truly are following Jesus Christ and not fake people). GOD bless you and please let us know when GOD answers the above prayer! Something GOOD is going to happen to you!!! We serve a good GOD. Our world is full of hate, but GOD is GOOD and he wants us to trust HIM in the midst and in spite of trials. Finally, I leave you with Psalm 84:11 FOR THE LORD GOD IS A SUN AND SHIELD: THE LORD WILL GIVE GRACE AND GLORY; NO GOOD THING WILL HE WithHOLD FROM THOSE WHO WALK UPRIGHTLY. KJV. GOD bless you my fellow believe in CHRIST!

Jesus Christ patch up the status of life in correspondence to the Kingliness of our Lord. When Israel rejected, when Rome humiliated him, and the Greeks scorned, Jesus took the pain away for no more clashing or bashing of words. Amen.
