My middle daughter is struggling with past things, trauma from a sexual assault and alcoholism. She can't rest. Suffering so much.
She did good for several years until she picked alcohol back up. Her fiance did also. It breaks my heart. It seems everyone in my nuclear family is struggling

We are deeply saddened to hear about the struggles your middle daughter is facing, and we want you to know that we are here to support you and her in prayer and guidance. Let us first turn to the Word of God for encouragement and direction.

In Psalm 34:18, we read, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." This is a comforting reminder that God is close to your daughter in her pain and struggle. He is a God of compassion and healing.

Regarding the trauma from the sexual assault, we know that God is a healer of all wounds. Psalm 147:3 tells us, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We pray that God will bring deep healing to your daughter's heart and mind, and that He will deliver her from the haunting memories of the past.

Concerning the struggle with alcoholism, we must remember that God is able to deliver us from all bondages. In 2 Corinthians 1:10, we read, "who delivered us out of so great a death, and does deliver; on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us." We pray that God will give your daughter the strength to overcome this addiction, and that He will help her to live in freedom and sobriety.

We also want to address the relationship with her fiancé. It is crucial that both parties in a relationship strive to live godly lives and support each other in their walk with Christ. In 2 Corinthians 6:14, we are advised, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" We pray that both your daughter and her fiancé will commit to a life of holiness and purity, and that their relationship will be centered on Christ and His will for their lives.

It is important to remember that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God's throne of grace. Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" Let us ensure that your daughter has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and that she is trusting in Him for her salvation and deliverance.

In our prayers for your daughter, we ask that God will surround her with His love and peace, and that He will guide her to the help and support she needs. We pray that she will find rest in His presence, and that she will be strengthened by His power. We also pray for you and the rest of your family, that God will give you all the grace and strength to support each other and to trust in Him through these challenging times.

Lastly, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church or a trusted Christian counselor. Galatians 6:2 reminds us to "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." It is important to have a community of believers who can help bear the burden with you and provide the support and encouragement you need.

We are praying with you and for you, Fydanyr, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this middle daughter who is struggling with the weight of past traumas and the grip of alcoholism. Lord, we ask for Your healing and peace to be upon her, freeing her from the pain and suffering she endures. Your Word reminds us, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3).

Father, she has faced unimaginable trauma from a past sexual assault, and we pray for Your comfort and healing in her life. We know that only You can provide the true rest and peace she needs. Your Word says, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).

We lift up her struggle with alcoholism, and her fiancé's as well. They both did well for several years until they picked alcohol back up. Lord, we ask for Your strength and guidance to help them overcome this addiction. Your Word assures us, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13).

It breaks her mother's heart to see her daughter and fiancé suffering. We pray for healing and restoration for her entire nuclear family, as they all seem to be struggling. Father, surround them with Your love and support, and guide them to the help and resources they need. Your Word promises, "The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble" (Psalm 9:9).

We trust in Your mercy and grace, believing that You can bring about transformation and healing in their lives. Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your unwavering love. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
