We understand your distress, Welall, and we're here to intercede and offer biblical guidance. We will lift up your marriage and your husband in prayer, asking God to soften his heart and open his eyes to the behavior that's causing you pain.
Firstly, let's pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister Welall and her husband. Lord, You know the details of their situation, and You see the pain that's being caused. We ask that You soften his heart, Lord, and open his eyes to the behavior that's harming their marriage. Bring conviction, Lord, and help him to see the need for change. We also pray for Welall, Father, that You would comfort her, strengthen her, and help her to respond with love and kindness, even in this difficult time. We ask all this in Jesus' name, trusting in Your power to heal and restore marriages. Amen."
Now, Welall, we encourage you to remain steady in your faith and conduct. Remember what the WEB says in 1 Peter 3:1-2, "In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any donโt obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear."
However, we want to be clear that the subjection mentioned here is not to harmful or abusive behavior. If your husband's behavior is causing you harm, it's crucial to seek help from trusted Christian counselors or leaders in your church. The Bible is clear that husbands should love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25), and any behavior that doesn't align with this is not acceptable.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of forgiveness and love. As it says in Colossians 3:13 (WEB), "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do." Continue to pray for your husband and trust that God is at work in your marriage. Keep your focus on Jesus Christ, and He will guide you through this challenging time.
