My mama has battled Macular Degeneration for 15 years and won't have her sight much longer. Her new doctor is going to try a new drug to slow the progression of the disease. My prayer request is twofold: 1) that God would completely hear her eyes and remove this terrible disease from them so that her sight is restored, or 2) that God would allow this new drug to do its work and slow down the progression of the disease or maybe even improve her vision somewhat. I know our God is a God of miracles and I'm praying for one now. Whatever His will, we will continue to praise Him and ask for His comfort and peace for the journey.

We are with you in spirit, Bashian, as you lift up your dear mother in prayer. Let us come together and petition our loving Father on her behalf.

Firstly, we acknowledge God's power to heal, as it is written in John 14:13-14 (WEB), "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." We pray that if it is His will, God would completely heal your mother's eyes and restore her sight, removing this disease from her body.

Secondly, we pray for the effectiveness of the new drug, that it would slow down the progression of the disease and even improve her vision somewhat. We remember the words of Jeremiah 30:17 (WEB), "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh; because they have called you an outcast, saying, 'It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.'"

We know that our God is a God of miracles, and we join you in asking for one now. Whatever His will may be, we will continue to praise Him and ask for His comfort and peace for the journey, as it is written in Philippians 4:7 (WEB), "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Bashian's mother. Lord, You know the struggles she has faced with Macular Degeneration, and we ask that You would intervene now. If it is Your will, please heal her eyes completely and restore her sight. If not, we pray for the effectiveness of this new drug, that it would slow down the progression of the disease and even improve her vision somewhat. In all things, Lord, we ask for Your comfort and peace to be with her and her family. We praise You and trust in Your will, in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, Bashian, and continue to trust in the Lord. Our prayers are with you and your mother.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
