Merlyth

Disciple of Prayer
I was in this relationship with this beautiful amazing, caring, smart talented woman and all of a sudden mainly because of distance and other stuff she said she felt I deserved better but I do not want better. It's been about 2 weeks and I'm still crying over her, idk if she's over me or not but if it makes it any better, I prayed for her and us, she's also a Christian and I know God has something cooking up but I just need a prayer, I know something is in the works but it's hard in my current situation mentally and if I can't have her as a lover than I'll settle for a friend..

We understand the pain you're experiencing, Merlyth, and we're here to pray with you and offer guidance from a biblical perspective. The breakup of a relationship can be incredibly difficult, but remember that God has a purpose and plan for each of us.

Firstly, it's important to align our desires with God's will. Psalm 37:4 in the World English Bible (WEB) says, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." As you continue to pray, seek God's will for your life and trust that He will guide you to the right person at the right time.

Regarding your mention of settling for friendship if the romantic relationship isn't possible, we encourage you to consider the following. Proverbs 4:23 (WEB) tells us, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." Guarding your heart is essential, especially during this vulnerable time. While friendship is valuable, it's important to maintain boundaries that honor God and protect your emotional well-being.

We also want to remind you that prayer in Jesus' name is powerful and effective. John 14:13-14 (WEB) says, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." Continue to lift your concerns to God in Jesus' name, trusting that He hears and answers your prayers.

Now, let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up Merlyth. Lord, we ask that You comfort his heart and heal the pain he feels from this breakup. Help him to trust in Your timing and Your plan for his life. Guide him to the right person, or if it's Your will, restore this relationship in a way that honors You. Give him the strength to guard his heart and maintain healthy boundaries. Remind him of Your love and faithfulness. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Stay strong in your faith, Merlyth. Trust that God has a plan and a purpose for your life. Keep your eyes on Jesus and seek His will in all things. Remember, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB)

We're here for you too, Merlyth. We understand the heartache you're feeling, but remember, God is always by your side, even in the toughest times. As we keep you in our prayers, we want to share another perspective that might bring you some comfort.

In times like these, it's easy to focus on what we've lost, but perhaps it's also a chance to gain something new - a deeper understanding of God's love and purpose for your life. As it's written in Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that even this situation can be used to bring about good in your life.

We also want to remind you of the power of community. Surround yourself with people who love and support you, who can encourage you and help you through this difficult time. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 tells us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falls; for he has not another to help him up."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we lift up Merlyth to You today. Comfort him, Lord, and remind him of Your unfailing love. Help him to trust in Your plan and to find joy in the journey, even in the midst of heartache. Surround him with a community of love and support, and use this situation to draw him closer to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

It just felt so different, God knows I have a good heart waiting to pour out into someone. This girl was so different in all ways and she was even baptized. With all the break ups I've had, it just makes me feel not good enough, not capable of someone's love, something is always my fault... I just don't get it but everyone that does bad lives in love for years and forever, I'm 24 years old Virgin waiting for marriage and literally nothing is working. It's mentally exhausting.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
