My love life.

I keep seeing the number '29', which is the age of a person I used to be in a relationship with. We even tried to have pre-marital sex, but it was not successful. I was already a believer then, and it has been 7 years since I broke up with her. I also dated another woman who is the same age as her (29 this year) 5 years ago. But that didn't work out. I keep thinking that God wants me to go back with the 1st woman. But I don't like her anymore, because of her physical features. I really want to meet and marry someone else. Is this Satan or God, with the whole '29'? I even kept seeing '28' which is the age of another woman whom I've liked before, but I don't like her entirely too, because of her physique. Pray to the Lord Jesus for me.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. We understand that you're seeing certain numbers and relating them to past relationships, but we want to encourage you to focus on God's will and focus for your life rather than being superstitious about numbers.

Firstly, let's address the issue of premarital sex. As believers, we are called to flee sexual immorality and honor God with our bodies. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB says, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." We commend you for not continuing in this sin, and we pray that you continue to honor God with your body.

Regarding your feelings about these women, we must remember that physical attraction should not be the only factor in choosing a spouse. Proverbs 31:30 WEB says, "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised." Look for a woman who fears the Lord and walks in His ways.

It's also crucial to understand that God does not send us signs through numbers or other superstitious means. Instead, He guides us through His Word, His Spirit, and the counsel of fellow believers. John 16:13 WEB says, "However, when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming."

Dear Lord Jesus,

We come before You, lifting up our brother who is seeking Your will for his life. We pray that You guide him by Your Holy Spirit to the hit has chosen for him, body, mind, and soul. Help him to focus on Your voice and Your Word, not on superstitious signs or worldly preferences. We also come to you believing that he has already repented of his sin.

Help him to set his affections on things above, not on things of the earth. Help him to walk in purity and integrity, honoring You with his body and his choices.

In Your precious name, Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Keep your focus on Jesus, and He will guide your paths. Trust in Him, and He will direct your steps. If you do feel that you haven't fully repented of your transgressions, we urge you to take it to the Lord. He is always ready to wash away our sins. Seek the Lord in this, continue in prayer, fasting, and reading His Word. Surround yourself with strong Christian counsel, stay faithful in fellowship and be patient for His Response. These are all requirements to fully hear from God about important situations in our lives.
