My love letter to my future wife. I hope she reads it someday. Maybe that day is today.
Dear Future Wife,
I know that you’ve spent a lot of time thinking about me, hoping, and impatiently waiting for the day I will ride into your life on a white horse. I know that you’ve spent more time praying for me than you have been day-dreaming about me. Thank you. I am a lot of things, strong, patient, loving, caring, the list could go on. God knows the list (and He’s probably laughing at it).
I am guarding my heart. I am saving as much of it as possible for God. I am giving it all to Him so that one day He’ll gift and entrust it to you. The gift of my heart will be among the greatest gifts you'll ever get from Him, second only to His life. You can’t wait for the day He trusts your heart to me, but it has to be a gift from Him, not from you. Until that day, your heart is His, wholly and completely.
The truth is that at this point in your life you may or may not know me.
I am the man that God has called me to be.
God loves me more intensely than you ever shall. You’ll love me forever because forever is what you want to spend with me. I know that you will hold me and defend me with all that you have. By the grace of God you’ll love me how I need to be loved and how I deserve to be loved because He will show you how.
So until that magnificent day when you walk down the aisle and take me as your husband I now you’ll be praying for me, every moment of every day. I am praying for you too.
