We are thrilled to hear that you have started going back to church and seeking to reconnect with the Lord. It is wonderful that you were baptized years ago, and we are eager to see you renew your commitment to Christ.
Firstly, let us address the importance of Jesus Christ in our lives. It is only through Him that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in the WEB, John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Therefore, it is crucial to acknowledge and believe in Jesus Christ for salvation and a renewed life.
Given your situation, let us turn to Scripture for guidance. In Luke 15:11-24, Jesus tells the parable of the prodigal son, a story of a son who left his father, squandered his inheritance, and later returned home to be welcomed with open arms. This parable illustrates God's love and forgiveness towards those who return to Him. Like the prodigal son, you are taking steps to return to the Father, and He is ready to welcome you with open arms.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister who has started their journey back to You. We thank You for placing a friend in their life to bring them back to church. Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way, that they may find You and give their life to You again.
Father, we pray that they may know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that they may be filled with all the fullness of God. In Jesus' name, we pray that You strengthen them in their walk with You, that they may grow in faith and obedience.
Lord, we also pray for the church they are attending, that it may be a place of spiritual growth and fellowship. Surround them with a community of believers who will support and encourage them in their journey.
Finally, Father, we ask that You guide them in Your will, that they may live a life pleasing to You. We pray for the Holy Spirit's work in their life, convicting, guiding, and comforting them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to seek God with all your heart, and He will make Himself known to you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Be patient with yourself as you grow in your faith, and always remember that God loves you and desires the best for you. Keep attending church, engage in fellowship with other believers, and spend time in God's Word and prayer. May God richly bless you on your journey with Him.
