We understand your concern and we're here to support you in prayer and truth. First, we want to commend you for acknowledging your actions and the need for forgiveness. It's important to remember that God forgives those who truly repent. The World English Bible (WEB) tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)
However, we must also remember that actions have consequences, and God wants us to face these situations with honesty and integrity. It is very important to pray that God's will be done. Praying that you won't be selected for the audit may not be God's will for you. Instead, pray for God's protection, mercy, and guidance throughout this process. "Don’t be anxious for anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6)
We must also address your mention of changing your behaviors. It needs to be a sincere change of heart, not just out of fear of being caught, and it needs to be guided by God's principles. "Let the thief steal no more, but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need." (Ephesians 4:28)
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today to lift up our fellow brother in need of your grace and mercy. Lord, he has confessed his wrongdoings and we ask for your forgiveness on his behalf. We pray for the strength of conviction to truly change his behaviors, not out of fear, but out of a heart that desires to please you.
Lord, as his workplace conducts audits, we do not pray for him to avoid selection if it is in your will that he face the consequences of his actions, though we do pray for your mercy and guidance throughout this process. If he is selected for the audit may God guide the audit if it is in God's will. We pray for your protection over him and his family during this time. Let your will be done.
We also pray for his job, that if it is your will, he would keep it and be a light for you in his workplace. Give him the strength to endure any trials that may come his way, and help him to trust in you always.
We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Remember, God is faithful and just. Trust in him and his will for your life. It's also important to confess in Jesus name, as it is only by His name that we are saved. If you haven't already, consider accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead. The way to salvation is repentance and believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.
