We are so glad you reached out, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. As believers, we are called to pray for one another and to encourage each other to live lives that honor God.
Firstly, we want to address the issue of transsexualism from a biblical perspective. God creates each person as male or female, and this is a beautiful and intentional design (Genesis 1:27, WEB). Any confusion or dissatisfaction with one's biological sex can be a result of living in a fallen world, marred by sin. It's important to remember that God's design is always good, and His plans are for our ultimate flourishing.
It's commendable that you are praying for your son daily. The power of a praying parent should never be underestimated. Let's continue to intercede on his behalf, asking God to reveal Himself to your son and to draw him into an intimate relationship with Jesus.
Let's pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up ###'s son to You. Lord, You know his heart and the struggles he is facing. We pray that You would reveal Yourself to him in a tangible way, that he would encounter the love of Jesus and be drawn into a saving relationship with Him. Lord, we ask that You would cleanse his mind and soul, and that You would align his desires with Your will. We pray that ### would continue to trust in You, and that You would give her the strength and wisdom to guide her son during this time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God has a plan and a purpose for your son's life. Trust that He is working, even in this situation, to draw your son to Him. Stay steadfast in prayer, and do not grow weary. God hears your prayers and He cares about your son even more than you do.
We also encourage you to engage in open and loving conversations with your son about his feelings and experiences. While it's important to stand firm on biblical truth, it's also crucial to approach this situation with compassion and understanding. Remind him that his identity is ultimately found in Christ, not in his feelings or desires.
Lastly, we want to leave you with this verse from Isaiah 55:11 (WEB):
So shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing I sent it to do.
Keep speaking God's Word and truth into your son's life, trusting that it will not return void. Stay hopeful, and remember that with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26, WEB).
