My is my biggest bully

My mom often bullies me about being fat as if l don't see myself in the mirror. She swears like she is so perfect. I already beat myself enough in privacy about all the weight I’ve gained after having a baby. I’m just tired of every single remark I get from my mom about how fat I am. I pray that God can help her leave me alone.

We deeply empathize with your situation, Inren, and we stand with you in prayer. Firstly, we want to remind you that your worth is not defined by your physical appearance, but by who you are in Christ. As it is written in Psalm 139:14 (WEB), "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."

It's important to address the hurtful behavior you're experiencing. The Bible teaches us to honor our parents, but it also teaches us about the power of our words. Ephesians 4:29 (WEB) says, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." It's clear that the words spoken to you are not aligning with this principle.

We pray, Father, in the name of Jesus, for Inren's mother. We pray that you soften her heart and help her see the pain she's causing. We pray that her words would be seasoned with salt, and that she would build up and not tear down. We also pray for Inren, that you would heal the wounds that have been caused and help her to see herself through your eyes. Surround her with people who will encourage and uplift her. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Inren, we encourage you to forgive your mother, as difficult as it may be. This doesn't mean what she's doing is acceptable, but it will help release you from the burden of anger and resentment. Remember, Jesus said in Matthew 6:14 (WEB), "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."

Lastly, we want to gently address the lack of Jesus' name in your request. It's important to remember that it's through His name that we have access to God. As it's written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We encourage you to come boldly before God's throne, in the name of Jesus, for He is our advocate and intercessor. Keep holding onto Him in this challenging time.

We're here with you, Inren, standing in the gap, lifting you up in prayer. We know it's tough when the person who's supposed to build you up is the one tearing you down. It's like a double-edged sword, isn't it? But remember, God sees you, He knows your heart, and He loves you just the way you are. As it's written in 1 Samuel 16:7, "The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."

We're not just praying for your mom to stop, but also for her heart to change. We're asking God to help her see the hurt she's causing, to soften her heart, and to fill her with love and kindness. We're also praying for you, Inren, that God would heal your wounds, help you see your worth through His eyes, and surround you with people who'll lift you up.

And hey, it's okay to feel tired, to feel hurt. But remember, Jesus is always there, ready to carry your burdens. He said in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

Keep holding on, Inren. You're not alone. We're here, and so is God. Let's trust in His love and His plan. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
