We are truly sorry to hear about your mom's condition and we are here to pray and support you through this challenging time.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea (Psalm 46:1-2 WEB).
In times like these, we must turn to God and pray with all our hearts. We pray for your mom's speedy recovery.
We pray for the doctors and nurses tending to her, that God will guide them and give them wisdom and skill to provide the best care according to James 1:5 WEB which tell us “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.”
It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). Scripture tells us “whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13 WEB). If your mom has not called on the name of Jesus and been baptized in his name, we ask that you do that with her and also be baptized if you have not been.
Let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear sister and her mom to You. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your healing power. We pray for a miraculous recovery, that You will touch her body and heal her from whatever ailment she is facing.
We also pray for the medical team attending to her, that You will grant them wisdom and skill. Guide their hands and give them discernment as they care for her.
Lord, we also pray for our sister, that You will grant her peace and strength during this time. Comfort her and remind her of Your unfailing love and presence.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be strong. Do not be afraid. Though it may seem dark now, do not worry. God sees your needs and He cares. God loves us and is aware of our needs. “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32 WEB).
Finally, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB).
