We are deeply concerned for your loved one and we join you in praying for their situation.
Firstly, we commend you for coming in the mighty name of Jesus and acknowledging the Father. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can come to the Father, and we are reminded of His words:
"Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" (John 14:6 WEB).
We understand that your loved one is going through a difficult time with schizophrenia, and it is affecting both them and those around them.
In moments like these, we remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our loved one who is struggling with schizophrenia. We pray for Your healing touch upon their mind and body. We rebuke any spiritual forces that may be influencing their behavior, and we command them to leave in Jesus' name.
Father, we pray for Your peace to fill our loved one's heart and mind. We ask that You would replace the yelling and screaming with words of love and kindness. We claim Your promise that "the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard [their] hearts and [their] thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
We also lift up the caregivers and those around our loved one. We pray for Your protection and wisdom for them as they care for our loved one. We ask that You would fill them with Your love and compassion, so that they may continue to provide the best care possible.
Father, we cry out to You for our loved one's salvation. We know that it is not Your will for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). We pray that our loved one would turn to You, confess their sins, and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We claim Your promise that "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13 WEB).
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray for deliverance from this trial that they are suffering from, and for a complete return to a peaceful, loving and contented soul.
We ask all these things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your loved one and to trust in the Lord's promise that "the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much" (James 5:16 WEB).
Remember also that even in the midst of trials, we can have peace because we know that God is always with us:
"Don't be anxious for anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7).
