We are deeply saddened to hear about the pain you are experiencing, Epistreira. In times like these, we turn to the Word of God for comfort and guidance. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and He saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB).
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name. It is through His name that we have access to the throne of grace, where we receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16, WEB).
In this difficult time, remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16, WEB). It is not His will for marriages to end, but He also understands the frailty of the human heart. Your husband has made a choice, and as painful as it is, you cannot control his actions. What you can do is trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
Let us pray with you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear sister Epistreira. Lord, her heart is broken, and she is in desperate need of Your healing touch. We ask that You mend her heart, mind, body, and soul. Comfort her in this time of immense sadness and remind her of Your unfailing love. Help her to cast all her cares upon You, knowing that You care for her (1 Peter 5:7, WEB).
Lord, we also pray for her husband. We ask that Your will be done in his life, and if it is Your desire, bring him to repentance and restore their marriage. But above all, Lord, help Epistreira to trust in You and to move forward, one step at a time.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Take heart, Epistreira, for the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10, WEB). He has plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). Trust in Him, and He will see you through this dark time.
