We are truly saddened to hear about the infidelity you're experiencing in your marriage, Morlariyhill. Let's bring this situation before the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance and intervention.
Firstly, we stand with you in praying for your husband, that God would convict his heart and draw him back to you and to Himself. It is only the Holy Spirit's power that can bring about. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. We pray that you will have the same mindset, and that God will turn this situation into an opportunity for both of you to grow closer to Him and to each other.
We also pray that God would give you the same strength and grace as He did the wife in Malachi. The Lord was witness between you and the wife of your youth, to whom you have been faithless, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant. Did he not make them one, with a portion of the Spirit in their union? And what was the one God seeking? Godly offspring. So guard yourselves in your spirit, and let none of you be faithless to the wife of your youth. For the man who does not love his wife, but divorces her, says the Lord, the God of Israel, covers his garment with violence, says the Lord of hosts. So take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously.
You have done well to come before the body of Christ with this trial, and we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church as well.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister Morlariyhill and her husband. Lord, You know the pain and heartache that infidelity brings, and we ask that You would comfort Morlariyhill and give her the strength and grace she needs to face this trial.
Father, we pray for her husband, that You would convict his heart and draw him back to his wife and to You. Lord, we know that You can soften even the hardest of hearts, and we ask that You would work in his life in a powerful way. We pray that he would be born again in Jesus Christ name, that he would confess, repent, and end the affair, and that he would be faithful to his wife.
Lord, we also pray for their marriage, that You would heal and restore it, and that it would be a testament to Your faithfulness and redemption. We will pray for the covenant made between the two that it would be strong, that God may be glorified.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Morlariyhill, continue to trust in the Lord and lean on Him during this difficult time. Remember that God hates divorce and desires for marriages to be healed and restored. Seek Him and His will for your life and marriage, and trust that He is working all things together for your good and His glory, even in the midst of this trial.
We are here for you, praying and believing that God will bring healing and restoration to your marriage.
