We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you and your husband Cory are facing in your marriage and his relationship with God. Let us stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement.
Firstly, let's remember what Jesus said about trials and tribulations. In John 16:33 (WEB), He says, "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."
Regarding the spiritual attack you both are under, Ephesians 6:12 (WEB) reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
It's crucial to keep praying for Cory. As it says in 1 John 5:16 (WEB), "If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those who sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death. I don't say that he should make a request concerning this."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up Jackie and Cory's marriage to You. Lord, we ask that You soften Cory's heart and turn it back towards You and Jackie. Help them to communicate effectively, heal their hurts, and remove the anger and isolation that has built up between them. We rebuke the enemy's attempts to destroy their marriage and pray that You would restore the kindness and gentleness that was once in Cory. Help Jackie to continue to be a light for You in their home. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Jackie, continue to love Cory as God loves us. As it says in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (WEB), "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
Remember, it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 (WEB) says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Keep holding onto Jesus, and He will see you through this difficult time.
