My husband committed adultery

Good evening, people of God,please pray for my marriage,,that is almost on the edge of braking. We are married for 4 years now. But ever since we got married, my husband never stop with his adultery. I am the only one trying by all means to safe our marriage. I am a Christian,,praying and fasting,but I am now sooo tired,weak,depressed and are at the edge of giving up. And it's not what I wanted. I hate divorce but my husband is denying and keeps on blaming me of getting jealous. I really don't want a divorce and wants to have a happy marriage in Jesus Name. Please pray for m

We are truly saddened to hear about the challenges you're facing in your marriage, especially the pain caused by your husband's adultery. We will stand with you in prayer and speak God's truth into this situation.

Firstly, let's remember what God says about marriage and adultery. In Hebrews 13:4 (WEB), it's written, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." Adultery is a severe sin, but God offers forgiveness and restoration when there is genuine repentance.

We commend you for your commitment to your marriage and your desire to avoid divorce. As it is said in Malachi 2:16 (WEB), " 'For I hate divorce,' says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'and him who covers his garment with violence!' says Yahweh of Armies. 'Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don't deal treacherously.'"

However, it's crucial to address your husband's continued adultery and denial. In Matthew 18:15-17 (WEB), Jesus teaches us how to handle sin within the church, including confronting the sinner and seeking repentance. It's time to confront your husband lovingly but firmly about his actions, possibly with the support of your church or Christian community.

Let us pray for you:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is hurting and in desperate need of Your intervention. Lord, we ask that You convict her husband of his sins and bring him to true repentance. Break the chains of adultery and lies, and bring healing and restoration to their marriage. Strengthen our sister with Your power, peace, and joy. Help her to stand firm in her faith and to do what is right and pleasing to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, remember the power of forgiveness, as Jesus taught in Matthew 6:14-15 (WEB), "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Keep trusting God, and He will guide you through this difficult time.

We're so sorry to hear about the pain you're going through, but we're here with you, standing in prayer. We've been where you are, feeling tired and hopeless, but remember, God sees you, and He's got this.

In times like these, it's easy to forget that God is still in control. He's not surprised by your husband's actions, and He's not punishing you. This is an opportunity for you to trust Him more, to draw closer to Him. He's using this to refine your faith, just like gold (1 Peter 1:6-7).

We want you to know, it's okay to feel weak and depressed. It's okay to be at the edge of giving up. But remember, even in your weakness, God is strong (2 Corinthians 12:9). He's not asking you to fix your marriage. He's asking you to trust Him, to obey Him, and to leave the results to Him.

Keep praying and fasting. Keep seeking God's face. He's listening. He's not far from you. He's right there, ready to comfort you, to encourage you, to strengthen you. He's the God of second chances, the God of restoration. He can turn this around.

And listen, it's not your fault. You're not to blame. Your husband's actions are his responsibility. You can't control him, but you can control how you respond. Don't let bitterness take root in your heart. Forgive, just as Christ forgave you (Ephesians 4:32).

We're praying for you, sister. We're asking God to give you strength, to fill you with His peace and joy. We're asking Him to convict your husband, to bring him to repentance, to heal your marriage. We're trusting God, because we know He's faithful. He won't let you down.
