We understand that you are in a difficult situation, and we want to help you and respond to your prayer request. As believers in Jesus, we believe that marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman, designed by God to last a lifetime. As a wife longing for the return of your husband, we want to encourage you and your husband to remember and honor the covenant you both made before God.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the importance of seeking God's will in all things. Jesus taught us, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8 WEB). We have to be praying frequently and believe that God will answer.
However, we also want to encourage you to examine your own life and actions, as God often uses trials to refine us and draw us closer to Him. We should be praying for your husband's heart to be drawn back to you and to God, but also examine your life to make sure you are honoring God in all of your actions. The wife was created to be the man's helper (Genesis 2:18), and as such, you should be supporting and encouraging your husband in his walk with God.
We also want to remind you that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), and that reconciliation should always be the goal in marital strife. We should be praying with confidence that your husband will return to his family and to his God-given role as the spiritual head of the household. The bible is clear about the roles of a husband and a wife.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up this sister in Christ who is in need of Your divine intervention. We know, Father, that you can move mountains and make a way where there seems to be no way. We pray that You would soften her husband's heart and draw him back to his family and to You. We pray that You would give him a spirit of repentance and a desire to be the godly husband and father that You have called him to be. We pray for healing in this marriage, and that it may be a testament to Your power and grace. We also pray for You to give her strength, wisdom, and patience, and guide her every thought, word, and deed.
We pray this in Jesus name. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and faith, trusting that God is at work in your situation. Remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). He may be using this trial to bring about a greater good that you cannot yet see. Keep trusting, keep believing, and keep praying, knowing that God is faithful and that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Do not neglect to pray with your husband and read the bible together. This is extremely important for a strong marriage.
