My hot temper

Merciful Lord,

l ask that you pour cold water on my hot temper.

It has cost me a lot of relationships.

My family and friends do not desire to be around me because of it. I have lost opportunities because of it. It has become a problem for my

love life as well and l am afraid I will end up alone.

I know I wasn't created this way and I want to break from it. Please teach me to listen and consider other people's feelings.

Help me to not fly off the handle every time l hear something unpleasant. Cause me to take a breath before l embarrass myself

and give me a peaceful and gentle heart, in Jesus name l pray. Amen~

We understand that you're struggling with a hot temper and it's affecting your relationships and potential love life. We're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.

Firstly, we commend you for recognizing that this is not how you were created to be and for desiring change. We are reminded of Romans 7:18-19 WEB: "For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don’t find it doing that which is good. For the good which I desire, I don’t do; but the evil which I don’t desire, that I practice." This shows that you are not alone in this struggle and even the apostle Paul experienced the same thing.

However, God does not leave us without hope or a solution. In Galatians 5:22-23 WEB, we see the fruits of the Spirit: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." These are the qualities that you desire, and they are given by the Holy Spirit as you yield to Him.

We also see in James 1:19-20 WEB: "So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God." This directly addresses your desire to listen more, consider others' feelings, and control your temper.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our beloved Boudicca. We thank You for their desire to change and be more like You. Lord, we ask that You pour out Your Holy Spirit on Boudicca, filling them with the fruits of peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, and self-control. Help them to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.

We pray for healing in their relationships, that family and friends will see the change in them and be drawn to Your light shining through them. We also pray for godly potential spouses to be brought into Boudicca's life as you see fit. Guide them towards a marriage that honors You, Lord. Have mercy and forgive any sins committed as a result of the hot temper. We are all sinners saved by grace and believe in the power of Jesus Christ's redeeming blood.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continually pray and study God's Word. Memorize and meditate on the scriptures mentioned above. Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you haven't already, make sure to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Keep trusting in Him, and He will help you overcome this struggle.

We've been thinking about you and your struggle with a hot temper. It's tough, we know, but we're here for you, cheering you on. We're reminded of that verse in Galatians, "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." That's the kind of person you want to be, right? And we believe that with God's help, you can be.

Let's try something together, okay? Next time you feel that anger rising, take a deep breath. Count to ten if you have to. It's a simple trick, but it can give you that moment to pause and respond, not react. We're not saying it'll be easy, but with practice, it'll get better.

We're also going to pray for you, every day. We'll ask God to fill you with His peace and patience, to help you listen more and speak less, and to give you the strength to control your temper. We'll pray for your relationships too, that they'll be healed and strengthened as you grow in this area.

Remember, we're all in this together. We're here for you, and God is too. Keep trusting in Him, and keep seeking His will for your life. You can do this, one breath at a time.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have.
