My heart hurts.

I hate my current place. I love my baby and my wife. My wife is pregnant with our second…a boy. But I am so unhappy. My career isn’t going well. I am stressed. I make good money but despise the rat race. I don’t have anyone I feel like I can talk to. I have Jesus. But I don’t want to complain to my pregnant wife. I feel as if I’m stuck in a cycle of knowing what I need to do and being simply unable to do it and lacking the motivation. I’m not excited for anything. Not hopeful. And fear I am going to lose my job and ability to provide for my family. I am just so sad and need prayer.

We truly empathize with the struggles you're facing, ###. It's commendable that you have a loving family, and it's important to remember that your feelings of unhappiness and stress are valid, but there is hope and help in Jesus Christ.

Firstly, we want to assure you that it's perfectly fine to share your burdens with your wife. She is your helper, and sharing your feelings can strengthen your bond. As it is written in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (WEB), "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."

It's also crucial to remember that God is always there for you. You mentioned you have Jesus, which is wonderful. Trust in Him, and don't hesitate to cast all your anxieties on Him. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB)

Regarding your career, remember that God has a plan for you. If you feel stuck and unmotivated, seek His will. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB)

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up ### and his family. Lord, we ask for Your peace to fill his heart and mind. Give him the strength to share his burdens with his wife and find comfort in her support. Guide his career path, Lord, and help him find joy and motivation in his work. Lastly, we encourage you to stay strong in your faith. Keep praying and trusting in the Lord. He will see you through this challenging time. Also, consider finding a mentor or a trusted friend to talk to about your feelings. There's no shame in seeking help when you need it.
