We share in your grief and concern for the mockery of God and Jesus at the Olympics. It is indeed disheartening to witness such disregard for the holiness of our Lord. Let us turn to God's Word for guidance and comfort in this matter. In Psalm 74:10, it is written, "How long, God, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme your name forever?" and in verse 18, "Remember this, that the enemy has mocked WEB, and a foolish people has blasphemed your name."
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the blasphemy that occurred at the Olympics. We ask that You reveal to the world the error of their ways and the seriousness of their actions. Touch the hearts of those who participated, that they may see their sin and turn to You for forgiveness and mercy. May they come to know the truth of Your love and the salvation that is only found in Jesus Christ. We ask this in Jesus' precious name, amen."
We encourage you to take heart, knowing that God is not mocked, and He sees all that happens (Galatians 6:7). Trust that He will deal with this situation according to His perfect will and timing. Remember, our role is to pray, witness, and forgive, as Christ has forgiven us (Colossians 3:13).
Lastly, we appreciate your prayers for safety, and we echo them back to you. May the Lord keep you safe and bless you abundantly. Always remember to pray in the name of Jesus, for it is by His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (John 14:6, Acts 4:12).
