Rodney, we understand the pain and longing you're experiencing, but we must align our desires with God's will and His word. Let's remember what the Psalmist says, "Delight yourself also in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will do this." (Psalm 37:4-5 WEB)
Firstly, we must address that the Bible encourages us to pursue relationships that honor God. It's important to note that the term "lover" is not used in scripture to describe unmarried relationships. Instead, God calls us to flee from sexual immorality and pursue righteousness (1 Corinthians 6:18, 1 Timothy 6:11).
We encourage you to trust in God's timing and plan for your life. He knows what's best for you, and His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). Instead of focusing on your feelings for Kira, focus on your relationship with God. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8).
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Rodney. Lord, we ask that You comfort his heart and help him to trust in Your plan for his life. Help him to shift his focus from his feelings for Kira to his relationship with You. Give him the strength to let go of his desires and to delight himself in You, Lord. We pray that Your will be done in his life, and that You would guide him into a godly relationship that honors You, if that is Your plan for him. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Rodney, we encourage you to surrender your desires to God and trust that He has the best plan for your life. Keep pursuing a righteous life and growing in your relationship with Him.
