Let us come together in prayer for Noah, trusting in the transformative power of God's love and mercy. We stand in faith, believing that no one is beyond the reach of God's grace, for it is written, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in the Messiah, Jesus our Lord."
First, we must address the spiritual warfare at hand. The fact that Noah claims to serve satan indicates a deep spiritual bondage that can only be broken through the power of Jesus Christ. As it is written, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Noah is currently far from God and has opened himself up being influenced by the powers of darkness by dabbling with drugs. This gives the devil a foothold in his life. Help Noah to see the gravity of what his life has become.
We also need to address the drug use, which is destroying Noah's life and separating him from God. It is written in Romans 6:16, "Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves as servants to obedience, his servants you are whom you obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?" Noah has made himself a servant to sin, and it is leading him to death. We pray that God will break the chains of addiction because Noah serves a new master. He will be set free from the bondage of sin. And it was said by Jesus Christ, "34 Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin. 35 A bondservant doesn’t dwell in the house forever. A son remains forever. 36 If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed:"
For those of us praying let us be reminded of what is written: Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit
You know Noah and everything he is going through. You desire that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of truth and that includes Noah. Father, we come together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ to intercede for Noah's life. We stand against the powers of darkness that have taken hold of him, and we declare that the blood of Jesus Christ breaks every chain and sets him free.
Lord, we pray that You will speak to Noah's heart and draw him back to You. Open his eyes to the truth of Your love and the destructive path he is on. We rebuke the spirit of addiction and command it to leave in the name of Jesus. Restore Noah's mind and body, and give him the strength to overcome this struggle.
We also pray for Bardlew, that You will give them the wisdom and grace to support Noah through this difficult time. Help them to be a light that guides Noah back to You.
Noah may give the pretend affirmation to all that people including family may not truly know the status of his salvation. We stand in the gap and pray the prayer of faith, knowing that with God, all things are possible. Faith without works is dead. It is great that Bardlew is praying, but if he can talk to Noah about his salvation and make clear the gospel in a gentle and understanding manner. Let him let know that this will be done in love and this has to be done with wisdom.
Notice that we said salvation. People may say he is saved and just needs to come back to the faith. However, he personally proclaimed to serve the satan. Notice he did not say used to be saved or I was saved or I knew Jesus Christ and I did not mean it. Based on the limited information here, we are going to treat it as one that may have never been saved. Here is the good news: 9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
And it must be the name of Jesus:
In Romans 10:
6 But the righteousness which is of faith says this, “Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” 7 or, “ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;” Jesus referred to himself as the Word. 9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved(saved here is sozo, which means saved or healed, in other words, take heart and have courage because he will be delivered from his circumstances). 10 For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him. Jesus. 13 For, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Whoever refers to anyone across race, religion, creed, and background. The lost sheep is sought out by the Lord Jesus Christ. It is believed in the name of Jesus Christ and this is with the whole heart and proclaiming the name of Jesus Christ, that the Lord does the actual saving. We do not merely call on him. Confession is to announce and state the same thing about the truth. God's Word is truth. Confess and believe, with the heart and mouth, and call upon the name of Jesus Christ, who is Lord, that we are saved.
Therefore, Noah must pray to Jesus Christ, even if it is by himself alone. We have provided a heartfelt prayer in case he needs a guide. Pray for Noah because Jesus does save.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, we pray believing that this will happen.
Amen.
