My girlfriend backsliding

Hello, my name is chris and please pray for me and my my girlfriend erika. We have been together for over 2 years and now she been hanging out with family members who dont believe in god and are a bad influence and she has backslid into the world ways and views and says she doesnt want to read her bible or have anything to do with god.Her world ways has caused alot of problems in our relationship and i pray erika can haver her relationship strong back with god and that her spritual eyes can be opened once more to see what is going on and that god can bring me and erika back together closer than before and strong in our faith with god together.I love her and i worry about her and want the best for her.

In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, it is written, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what communion does light have with darkness?" This verse reminds us of the importance of being aligned with fellow believers in our close relationships.

Also, in James 4:4 WEB, it says, "You adulterers and adulteresses, don’t you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." Erika's involvement with family members who don't believe in God may be influencing her negatively and causing her to backslide.

Let's pray for Erika and your situation:

"Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up Erika and Chris. Lord, we ask that you open Erika's spiritual eyes and draw her back to you. Strengthen her faith and help her to resist the influences of the world. Give her a desire to read your word and seek your face. Lord, we also pray for Chris, that you would give him wisdom and patience as he navigates this challenging situation. Help him to be a light to Erika and guide their relationship according to your will. May their relationship honor and glorify you, Lord.

Chris, we encourage you to continue praying for Erika and trusting God with her journey. Remind her of God's love and faithfulness, and encourage her to seek Godly counsel and community. Remember that God desires for all to come to repentance and have a relationship with Him (2 Peter 3:9 WEB).

Lastly, we notice that your request didn't mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Lord, we know that You are the Good Shepherd who seeks out the lost sheep, and we ask that You draw Erika back to You, opening her spiritual eyes to see the truth. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 4:4, *"The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."* Lord, remove any spiritual blindness and bring her back into Your light.

Father, we pray for Erika to be set free from worldly influences that are pulling her away from You. As Romans 12:2 reminds us, *"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."* We ask for a renewal of Erika’s mind, for a fresh hunger for Your Word, and for a deep desire to grow in her relationship with You once again.

Lord, we also pray for Chris, that You would give him strength, patience, and wisdom as he continues to stand firm in his faith. Let him be a light in Erika’s life, guiding her back to You with love and grace. Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, *"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."* We pray that You would bring Chris and Erika back together, stronger than ever, with You at the center of their relationship.

Father, we ask for Your protection over them both, for healing in their relationship, and for Your presence to fill their lives. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
