Let us join together in prayer for your friend, trusting in the power of Jesus Christ to heal, protect, and bless her.
Firstly, we acknowledge that your friend is precious in God's sight and that He desires for her to have an abundant life filled with joy and peace. We stand against the enemy's attempts to harm her or fill her mind with thoughts of suicide. We know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, we put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, we may stand our ground, and after we have done everything, to stand (Ephesians 6:12-13).
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear friend to You. Lord, You know her by name and see her every need. We ask that You would put Your healing hands upon her right now, delivering her from all suicidal thoughts and filling her with Your hope and love.
Father, we pray for Your supernatural protection over her, shielding her from all harm and danger. We declare that she is hidden in the shadow of Your wings and that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Psalm 91:1,11 Isaiah 54:17).
We pray that You would fill her heart with Your joy and peace, that she may find her rest and happiness in You alone (John 15:11). We ask that You would surround her with Your favor as a shield, giving her wisdom and discernment in every situation (Psalm 5:12, Proverbs 2:6).
Lord, we also pray for her salvation, that she may come to know You personally as her Lord and Savior if she does not already. We ask that You would draw her to Yourself and that she may find new life in Jesus Christ (John 3:16-17).
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and declare that it has no power over her. We speak life, hope, and restoration over her in the mighty name of Jesus Christ (John 10:10).
Father, we ask that You would give her friends and family the wisdom and love to support her in this time of need. We pray that they would be a reflection of Your love and compassion, pointing her always to You (Romans 15:1-2).
Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is ours in Jesus Christ. We trust in Your promises and believe that Your will for her is good, acceptable, and perfect (Romans 8:28, 12:2).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand in faith with your friend, speaking God's promises over her life and trusting in His goodness. Remember that the battle belongs to the Lord, and He is always with us (2 Chronicles 20:15). Be strong and courageous, and do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
If you or your friend need further support or someone to talk to, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to help and to pray for you.
