We are saddened to hear about the trial your friend and their fiance are facing. Firstly, we want to remind you that it is through Jesus Christ that we can approach God, as it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" We are glad you acknowledged His name in your request.
In this difficult time, we pray for God's healing and protection. "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up." (James 5:14-15, WEB)
We also pray that God uses this situation to draw your friend and their fiance closer to Him. " 'Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.' " (Matthew 11:28-30, WEB)
However, we want to remind you that God's design for marriage is between a man and a woman. As it is written, "From the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." (Mark 10:6-8, WEB) We encourage them to seek God's will in their relationship and ensure they are aligned with His word.
Let us pray:
Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You today to lift up our dear friends who are going through a challenging time. We ask for Your healing hand upon the fiance and the baby. Comfort and strengthen them, and draw them closer to You. Reveal Yourself to them, Lord, and help them understand the true salvation that comes only through You. Guide them in their relationship and help them align their lives with Your word. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
