My friend writes: "Victor Gutierrez had a stroke on Saturday. He was discharged from the hospital last night, but the left side of his body is paralyzed. I think because of neuroplasticity he could regain movement, but for that he needs the will to work hard at it. I saw him on New Year's and he seemed very depressed. I cannot imagine how much more depressed he is now. "
