We are blessed to join with you in prayer for your friend, and we appreciate your heartfelt request. We are reminded of the power of intercession and the importance of praying for others. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our friend who has not yet come to know you. We ask that you reveal yourself to him in a powerful and personal way, showing him that you are the one true God, mighty and worthy of all praise. Open his heart to receive your love and grace.
We pray that you will guide him to the path of salvation and righteousness, drawing him to the saving knowledge that is found in Jesus Christ alone. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Lord, we ask that you silence any voices that would seek to lead him astray with negative or ungodly advice. Surround him with your presence and fill his life with godly influences that will point him to you, the God who is just and righteous who loves covers all sin.
We claim your promise that you are more than capable of doing all things, and we trust in your power to transform his life. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your friend, trusting that God is at work in his life. Remember the words of Jesus in John 6:44 (WEB), "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day." Keep sharing the good news of the gospel with him, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17, WEB).
We also encourage you to share the basic salvation message with your friend. This includes explaining that we are saved by God's grace through faith in the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ as payment for our sins. As we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are forgiven and start a new life of obedience to God.
