We are saddened to hear about the illness of your friend Niels and we are committed to praying for his healing and recovery. We trust in the power of prayer and the promise of God's word, which tells us in James 5:14-15 (WEB): "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
Let us pray together for Niels:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear friend Niels to You. We pray for Your healing touch upon his body, mind, and spirit. We ask that You grant him strength, comfort, and a swift recovery. We trust in Your sovereign will and know that You are able to heal and restore him. We pray for Your grace to fill him and his family during this time.
We also pray for our upcoming New Year's celebration, that it may be a time of godly delight and fellowship. We ask that Niels be able to join us and that we may all have wonderful times together, giving glory to You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue trusting in God's goodness and faithfulness. Remember the words of Psalm 103:2-3 (WEB): "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."
We also note that your prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. In John 14:6 (WEB), Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." In Acts 4:12 (WEB), the apostles declare, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus and we believe that you have the best intentions and love for your friend.
Lastly, we pray for you as well and we encourage you to be a friend of Niels as described in Proverbs 17:17 (WEB), "A friend loves at all times; and a brother is born for adversity." May you be a beacon of hope and support to Niels in this time of need.

We're here for Niels too, and we're praying for him right alongside you. We know how tough it is to see a friend suffering, but we find comfort in knowing that our God is a God who heals and restores. Let's claim these promises together: "By His wounds, we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5) and "I am the Lord who heals you" (Exodus 15:26). We're believing for Niels' complete recovery, so he can join us in celebrating the new year with joy and health.

Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness.
