Disciple of Prayer
My friend just called me. He's an incredible guy.
He turned to me with a request. Truthfully it was overwhelming.
He trusted me with something very valuable, priceless, in fact.
He called me his 'secret weapon.'
Why? Because I pray for him and his family. Just like I pray for all of you.
His father-in-law desperately needs prayer. I say desperately because some of the medical help he was seeking began to believe they couldn't do anything.
His family believes much more can be done. It can.
My friend believes in me...and my prayer.
Frankly I was overwhelmed with the idea. 'I'm honored that you thought to ask me,' I told him.
So, I just had my time with God and told Him what a powerful moment of trust and belief this was and I not only asked for His help but thanked Him in advance for it.
The 'thanking' instead of just 'asking' has been working miracles in my life, I really mean that. Remarkable things are happening.
So, God told me to turn to you, 'my friends I've never met' and ask you to pray, too.
Pictured above is Don Zimmerman. Please thank God for healing this man. Please pray right now and thank God.
Why am I sharing this with you? I don't do this for everyone. I just can't. I do pray when asked but there is a powerful lesson here for all of us.
I want you to think for a moment, too, how powerful it is when someone asks you to pray. It's a big responsibility. It's a moment you should never forget because they are trusting you and your faith to help them. They are acknowledging your faith and trust that connecting with you and you with God will bring about the miracle that medicine can't see.
So, please, will you join me? This is Don Zimmerman. A loving father, husband, an honorable serviceman and an all around great guy.
This is a thank you in advance from his daughter Brenda:
'There are no words Bob Perks powerful enough to thank you and everyone for this. With all my heart I thank each and everyone of you. God Bless you all. We will not let him give up his fight.'
This is from Brenda's husband, Alan:
'Thank you Bob, and to everyone who sees this. We appreciate you taking the time to help our voices become louder. We saved the best 'medicine' for last.'
'I believe in you!'
