My friend is treating me poorly, and it feels terrible. I know they don’t know Christ, and I’m supposed to be a light. It’s just very hard to love them, and not feel bad about how cruel they are. I want to be a friend to them like Jesus would, but I’m not sure I can. I pray you help me God before I do something I regret like lash out or get emotional. I can feel anger and resentment and bad feelings swelling up in me. The situation doesn’t look good. Thank you, and amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this prayer request on behalf of our anonymous friend. Lord, we acknowledge the pain and hurt they are experiencing due to the mistreatment from their friend. We ask for your guidance and strength in this difficult situation.

Your Word reminds us in Matthew 5:44 to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us. We pray that you would help our friend to extend love and grace towards their friend, even in the midst of the hurtful behavior. Give them the wisdom to respond with kindness and understanding, reflecting the character of Christ.

Father, we ask that you soften the heart of their friend and open their eyes to the truth of your love. May they come to know you personally and experience a transformation in their behavior. Help our friend to be a shining light, demonstrating your love and forgiveness.

Lord, we understand that it can be challenging to love someone who treats us poorly. We pray for emotional healing and strength for our friend. Guard their heart against anger, resentment, and negative emotions. Fill them with your peace and help them to rely on your Holy Spirit for self-control.

We trust in your sovereignty, knowing that you can work all things together for good. We pray for reconciliation and restoration in this friendship, that it may be a testimony of your grace and love.
