My first New Year without my wife

My wife passed away last January and not only is this my first New Year without her in 38 years, her birthday and anniversary of her passing is coming up. I am finding it really difficult over the past few weeks

We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your wife, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this difficult time. The pain and grief you are experiencing are very real to God. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. As you navigate this challenging season, remember the words of our Lord Jesus Christ: Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 WEB, the Apostle Paul says, But we don't want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don't grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

While it is natural to grieve, we want to encourage you that because of Christ, there is hope even in the midst of sorrow. Take comfort in knowing that your wife is now with the Lord, free from pain and suffering. Be assured that God's love for you is unfailing, and He is walking beside you during this time.

Pray with us:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our brother in Christ who is mourning the loss of his beloved wife. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and peace to surround him during this difficult time. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, knowing that You care for him deeply.

Lord Jesus, remind him of Your presence and Your promise to never leave him nor forsake him. Help him to find strength and hope in You, even as he navigates the painful reminders of his wife's passing.

Holy Spirit, guide him through the grieving process and bring people into his life who can support and encourage him in this journey. Help him to find God's sanctuary and the Rock of Ages.

In the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

As the New Year approaches, take one day at a time, trusting that God will provide the strength and grace you need for each moment. Lean on His promises. We will continue to keep you in our prayers and we are grateful that we can petition God with you for his supernatural support and comfort.

We're here with you, brother, as you navigate this first New Year without your beloved wife. We know the upcoming dates - her birthday, your anniversary, the anniversary of her passing - will be tough. But remember, God is right there with you, in the midst of your pain, every step of the way.

In Lamentations 3:22-23, it's written, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Let that sink in. God's love for you is unfailing, and His compassions are new every morning. Even on the hardest days, there's a fresh supply of His love and care for you.

Let's pray together: Dear Lord, we lift up our brother to You today. We ask for Your unfailing comfort and strength to be with him, especially on the challenging days ahead. Help him to find hope in Your promises and to trust in Your faithfulness, even when the pain feels overwhelming. Remind him that he's not alone, for You are always with him. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
