Wylthall, we join you in prayer and petition as you seek God's will for your first home and other requests. We are reminded of the words in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Firstly we would like to encourage your family to consider Psalm 127:1 WEB except the Lord builds the house they labor in vain that build it except the Lord keeps the city the watchman wakens but in vain unless specifically dealing with a city. The psalter here is not referring to the physical house but the spiritual house of the Lord as described in Ephesians 2:19-22 WEB. We are also reminded in Psalm 24:1 WEB the earth is the Lords, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods
We pray together for your housing situation. We pray that if this home is in God's will for your family, for him to navigate you through the approval process and that the home you seek for your family will benefit the kingdom of God and not just yourselves. We are reminded "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in Him, and He will do this" (Psalm 37:4-5 WEB). A home is a blessing from the Lord, and we pray that God's will be done in this situation.
Regarding your employment prayer, we pray for God's provision and guidance. Colossians 3:23-24 WEB reminds us: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ." We pray that God will provide the right job for you and we also pray that working for the feverishly for the Lord as if working for the afterlife is stressed here in these scriptures in addition to working to pay for your house. In other words we need to prioritize where all of the time is spent in the kingdom of God over earthly pursuits. Scripture even suggests chiefly we will not even know of earthly things.
We also lift up your family's health needs to the Lord. We pray for God's healing and protection, knowing that God cares for us deeply. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (John 1:2 WEB).
Lastly, we want to discuss an issue. We are instructed in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" This is echoed in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Philippians 2:9-11 WEB, "Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." So we encourage you to pray in Jesus Name to have access to the throne of God. We encourage you to believe the gospel of John 3:16-18 WEB "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn't believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God."
