We're with you in spirit, Carol, and we're lifting up your father James in prayer. Let's come together and petition God for his peaceful rest and healing.
Firstly, we acknowledge that it's through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). It's encouraging that you've ended your request in Jesus' name, as it's through His name that we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
The Bible tells us that God grants sleep to those He loves (Psalm 127:2). Let's pray that God will grant James peaceful sleep and renew his strength both physically and spiritually.
*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up James to You. You know his struggles with sleep and the disruption it's causing to his health and mind. We ask, Lord, that You will grant him peaceful sleep according to Your promise in Psalm 127:2. May Your healing power work in his body, calming his mind and renewing his strength. We rebuke the spirit of restlessness and anxiety that's disturbing his sleep in Jesus' name.*
Carol, we also want to encourage you to trust in God's care for your father. Remember the words of 1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." God knows your concerns for your father, and He cares.
Lastly, we want to address the recurring problems you mentioned. Remember that God is sovereign, and He allows trials for a reason. They might be opportunities for you and your father to draw closer to Him and experience His peace and comfort. As it says in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
*Lord, help Carol and James to trust in Your goodness and purpose in the midst of these trials. Comfort them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
Keep holding on to your faith, Carol. God is with you and your father. We'll continue to keep you both in our prayers.
