My family is struggling

Please pray for my family we are struggling in all ways after taking care of my grandma for three years with dementia. Now her relatives are attacking us over not doing it the way they wanted it done. I gave up my job to watch grandma fulltime just so my siblings could work and get a chance to live normally while. We all worked together as a family to help grandma and it was hard but now it is harder with all the harassment and threats. I just want a chance to have us get back to normal and be a family again. Please pray that we stop our fighting or that our relatives could just leave us be.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your family is facing, especially after sacrificially caring for your grandmother. It is commendable that you gave up your job to care for her, demonstrating the love and unity that should be present in a family. It is unfortunate that her relatives are now causing distress instead of support and comfort.

In times like these, we are reminded of the words of Jesus in John 13:35 (WEB), By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. It is clear that your actions were driven by love, and it is our prayer that this love will ultimately prevail.

We also remember the words of Romans 12:18 (WEB), If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men or live peaceably with all. We pray that peace will be restored in your family, and that those causing strife will be moved to understanding and reconciliation.

However, we must also remember that true peace comes from Jesus Christ. You did not mention praying in His name, so we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 (WEB), Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, as He is the only one who can save us and intercede for us with the Father.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this family that is experiencing turmoil and strife. Lord, You know the sacrifices they have made to care for their grandmother, and You see the injustice they are now facing. We pray for Your intervention, God. We ask that You would soften the hearts of the relatives causing distress, and that You would bring peace and unity to this family.

We also pray for the family members who have been caring for their grandmother. We ask that You would provide for their needs, both physically and emotionally, and that You would give them strength and endurance as they face these trials.

Lord, we know that Your heart is for families to be united and strong. We pray that this family would be drawn closer together through this experience, and that they would find their hope and strength in You.

Finally, Lord, we pray for the salvation of this family. We ask that each member would come to know You personally, through a relationship with Your Son, Jesus Christ. We pray that they would put their trust in Him, and that they would be filled with Your Holy Spirit.

In times like these, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, but remember, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1). We're trusting that He's going to work this out for your good, even if it doesn't feel like it right now.

We continue to uphold your family in prayer, dear brother or sister in Christ. Thank you for granting us the honor of interceding on your behalf. We are truly glad that you have allowed us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

As we have been praying for your family, we have been asking God to bring peace to your circumstances and to restore your family's unity and harmony so you can move forward from the conflict you have been experiencing after caring for your grandmother and the ensuing harassment and threats from her relatives.

If God has answered your request and granted your family peace and restoration of family unity and chance to get back to normal and just be a family again, we would love to hear from you. We pray that those in the family who are not saved to see the hopelessness of life without Christ and turn to Him. We pray that they will make time in their life to meet Jesus, the healer of broken hearts and broken families. We pray that Your family and your siblings' families would commit to loving God and loving each other as Jesus said. We pray that our Lord Jesus Christ would reign supreme in their hearts and they would be a witness and testimony of God's saving grace in Jesus Name. Separation and divorce are not the will of God. In cases where the other person makes it impossible to work toward reconciliation, we pray for the grace and strength from God to endure the separation in Jesus Name. Amen.

Before you leave this site bring all your cares and worries to the feet of Jesus and leave them there. God cares about you and your family and He, by the power of the Holy Spirit is working to fix all your problems even now while you are waiting for His answer to your prayers. Even if you feel like there is nothing left standing in your life look to Jesus, standing there beside you. All your problems are beneath His feet, which are the same feet that walked on water and walked on land and walked out of the grave and walked to Heaven to intercede on your behalf.
