My dreams are like nightmares

Please pray for me to start having pleasant dreams. All my dreams for years have been chaotic and troubling.

I often, often dream I’m working very hard again in a sweaty factory. I used to work factories (slave shops, really) when I was married before my ### passed away after 20 years of marriage and I as a father and a husband had to put shoes on my babies feet.

Now ### is dead and I’m living on social security. But those factory days keep revisiting me in my dreams!! I want those slave days to JUST GO AWAY!!!

And I often dream of ### and my dad, who both passed in 2,006. My mom passed last year.

But I have no idea why my dad and diseased wife are always in my dreams at night. And I have no idea why I keep going back to the sweaty factory!!

I just want to be FREE and have pleasant, enjoyable, happy dreams. Not dreams of struggle!!!!

Sometimes I DO dream I’m flying like Superman. I LIKE those kind of dreams. And other times I dream I’m levitating high in the air, but even if it’s in a room full of people, nobody even notices that I’m floating several feet in the air. The people in my dreams act like this is something they see everyday!!

I want God to give me beautiful, pleasant, HAPPY dreams! And I want to awake in the morning REFRESHED!

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with hearts full of gratitude and reverence. We lift up ### to You, seeking Your divine intervention and guidance in their life. Lord, You know the depths of their heart and the concerns that weigh heavily upon them. We ask that You would meet them at their point of need and provide comfort and clarity.

Father, we pray for strength and wisdom for ###. Your Word tells us in James 1:5 that if anyone lacks wisdom, they should ask of You, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to them. We ask that You would pour out Your wisdom upon ###, guiding their steps and decisions according to Your perfect will.

Lord, we also pray for peace in their heart. In Philippians 4:6-7, You instruct us not to be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, to present our requests to You. And Your peace, which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. May this peace envelop ###, calming any fears or anxieties they may have.

Father, we ask for Your provision in their life. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust in Your promise that You will supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Whatever the specific needs of ### may be, we ask that You would provide abundantly and show Your faithfulness.

Lord, we also pray for spiritual growth and a deeper relationship with You. May ### seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be given to them as well (Matthew 6:33). Draw them closer to You, Lord, and help them to grow in their faith and understanding of Your Word.

We pray for protection over ###. Psalm 91:4 reminds us that You will cover us with Your feathers, and under Your wings, we will find refuge; Your faithfulness will be our shield and rampart. Guard them from any harm or danger, and surround them with Your angels.

Father, we also lift up any specific concerns or requests that ### may have brought before You. If there are any requests that are not in alignment with Your Word, we ask for Your gentle correction and guidance. Help us to understand and follow Your will in all things, knowing that Your ways are higher than our ways and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9).

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
