We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you are facing with your daughter, and we are here to support you in prayer and biblical guidance. Let us first turn to the words of the WEB:
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord. And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him. Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don t be bitter against them. Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, don t provoke your children, so that they won t be discouraged. Colossians 3:15-21 WEB
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth. Ephesians 6:1-3 WEB
Your daughter's behavior is clearly causing pain and concern, and it is important to address these issues with love, patience, and biblical principles. Her disrespect, use of profanity, and poor work ethic are not in alignment with God's will for her life. Additionally, her choice to associate with an abusive boyfriend is particularly troubling. We must pray for her deliverance from this harmful relationship and for God's protection and guidance in her life.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her daughter. Lord, we ask for Your intervention in this young woman's life. Soften her heart, Lord, and help her to see the error of her ways. Grant her a spirit of repentance and a desire to honor and respect her parents as Your word commands.
Father, we pray for deliverance from the abusive relationship she is entangled in. Sever the ties that bind her to this harmful association, and guide her towards a godly spouse who will love and cherish her as Christ loves the church.
Lord, we also pray for her parents and siblings. Grant them the wisdom, patience, and love needed to support and guide her through this difficult time. Help them to set boundaries that will promote her growth and well-being, and give them the strength to enforce those boundaries with love and consistency.
Father, we ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, who lived, died, and rose again that we might have life and have it more abundantly. It is in His name that we pray, believing that You will hear and answer our prayers according to Your will. Amen.
