Thanks for your prayers for my daughter and I.We understand your concern for your daughter Geneva, and we are here to stand with you in prayer and counsel. The Bible teaches us to honor our parents, as it is the first commandment with a promise (Ephesians 6:2-3 WEB). It is not pleasing to God when children disrespect their parents, and this includes using harsh or profane language.
Let's pray together:
"Father God, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Geneva Jones. We know that she is born again in Christ, and we ask that You convict her heart concerning her actions towards her mother. Lord, help her to see the error of her ways and grant her the strength to change. Fill her mouth with kindness and respect, as Your word instructs us in Ephesians 4:29 (WEB), 'Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.' We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen."
We encourage you to continue to show Geneva love and patience, just as God deals with us. Remember, the Bible tells us that love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8 WEB). Be confident in your faith, knowing that God is able to change hearts and turn situations around for His glory.
We also want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God's throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16 WEB). If ever you feel overwhelmed, come boldly before God in Jesus' name, and He will give you the peace and strength you need.
Lastly, we want to commend you for not retaliating with harsh words. You are setting a godly example, and we pray that Geneva will see this and change her behavior. We are here with you in spirit, trusting God for a positive change in your daughter's life. Keep holding on to God's promises, and He will honor your faithfulness.
Thank you for your prayersPraying to the Father on your behalf through Jesus. Amen
