We understand your concern for your daughter and we stand with you in prayer, Galthald. Before we begin, we want to remind you that it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Firstly, we want to address your daughter's struggle with alcohol. The Bible warns us about the dangers of drunkenness in Ephesians 5:18 (WEB), "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." We encourage you to guide your daughter towards a life filled with the Holy Spirit, rather than the emptiness of alcohol.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Galthald's daughter. Lord, we ask that you would deliver her from the snare of alcohol. Open her eyes to see the harm it is causing and give her the strength to leave it behind. Fill her with your Holy Spirit, Lord, and guide her towards a life that honors you.
Galthald, we encourage you to continue praying fervently for your daughter. Remember the promise in James 5:16 (WEB), "Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." Also, continue to show her love and support, guiding her towards a life in Christ.
Lastly, ensure that you are setting a godly example for her to follow. If you find that you also struggle with alcohol or any other issue, we urge you to seek help and accountability. As it is written in Romans 13:13 (WEB), "Let's walk properly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and lustful acts, and not in strife and envying."
May God grant you and your daughter the strength and wisdom to overcome this struggle. We stand with you in Jesus' name. Amen.
