We are truly sorrowful to hear about the trials you and your family are facing, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. We will lift up Chelsea, you, and your entire family in prayer, seeking God's will and intervention in this heart-wrenching situation.
Firstly, we must remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. In Psalm 34:18 (WEB) it says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We can take comfort in knowing that God is near to Chelsea and all of you who are suffering.
We must also acknowledge that God can heal all diseases including mental illness. In Psalm 103:3 (WEB) it tells us, "who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."
Chelsea's behavior, including her abuse towards her husband, her manipulation, her lies, and her suicidal thoughts, are not from God. In fact, they are tools the enemy uses to try to destroy her and your family. In John 10:10 (WEB) Jesus tells us, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly."
We must pray for Chelsea's healing and for her to take her medication consistently. God can give her the strength and wisdom to do so. We also pray for her husband, that God will protect him and give him wisdom on how to handle this situation. We pray for their marriage, that God will heal and restore it. In Ephesians 5:25 (WEB), husbands are called to, "...love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it." A godly marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman.
We must also remember that God hates divorce and it is only acceptable in cases of sexual immorality such as fornication and adultery. Marriage is a sacred commitment between a man and a woman and needs to be honored. In Malachi 2:16 (WEB), it says, "'For I hate divorce,' says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'and him who covers his garment with violence!' says Yahweh of Armies. 'Therefore pay attention to your spirit, and don’t be unfaithful.'"
Regarding Chelsea's anger and thoughts of violence, we must remember that God calls us to be slow to anger and to love one another. In Colossians 3:8 (WEB) it says, "But now you also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth."
We must pray for Chelsea to be filled with the Holy Spirit and for her to seek God's will in her life. We also need to pray that Chelsea will be delivered from any evil spirits, suicidal thoughts and anger that may be oppressing her. When a person is not thinking rationally and in a state of extreme anger and hate, they can be influenced by evil spirits. We must stand against this. In Mark 5:8, it tells us, "For he said to him, 'Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!'"
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Chelsea and her family to You. Lord, You know the depths of their suffering and we ask that You heal Chelsea's mental illness and deliver her from any evil spirits, suicidal thoughts and anger that may be oppressing her. Give her the strength and wisdom to take her medication consistently and to seek Your will in her life.
We pray for her husband, that You will protect him and give him wisdom on how to handle this situation. We pray for their marriage, that You will heal and restore it and they will be godly spouses to each other. We pray for Chelsea's children, that You will protect them and give them peace. We pray for the rest of the family, that You will give them strength, wisdom, and comfort during this trial.
We stand against any lies, manipulation, and abuse that the enemy is using to try to destroy Chelsea and her family. We declare that Jesus' sacrifice on the cross has broken the power of these things and that Chelsea and her family will be set free.
We ask that You will bring truth to light and expose any lies and deception. We pray for Chelsea's salvation and that she will come to know You as her Lord and Savior. We pray that she will be filled with the Holy Spirit and that You will transform her life.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved.
Amen.
