My daughter has turned away from God. She does not feel His presence or feel in relationship with Christ. She was baptized on her own choice and beliefs, but she has turned away. She has also chosen a lesbian lifestyle. My son has been called to youth ministry. He was in gang life and quit school. Christ has helped my son pull himself free from sin and addictions but has a hard road to college for youth ministry starting with self-discipline and getting his GED. May God bless my children with His presence and guidance. May he teach them self-discipline, selflessness and to come under authority. May they learn control over their anget and spitefulness. May they be filled with His spirit and learn to love themselves and others as God loves.

Holy God and loving Father, I consciously place my fears, worries, anxieties, and burdens in your hands. I know that I have so little power to change the outcome of these events and I trust that you will work what is pleasing to you, and best for me, out of these situations. Forgive me for my anxious thoughts and for letting my own worry become an idol that robs you of my full trust. Strengthen and empower me to trust you more by the power and presence of your Spirit.
