We are truly heartbroken to hear about your situation, and we are here to stand with you in prayer and to offer biblical encouragement during this dark time.
Firstly, we want to remind you that even in the midst of your struggles, God has not forsaken you. He promises in Hebrews 13:5,.."I will never leave you nor forsake you." Even when it feels like all is lost, God is still there, working on your behalf.
Regarding your marriage, we want to emphasize the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. It is clear that your husband has broken his covenant with you, and this is a grave sin in God's eyes. In Malachi 2:16, it says, .."'For I hate divorce,' says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'and him who covers his garment with violence!' says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of his youth." We will pray for your husband's heart to turn back to you and to God, but we also want to affirm your value and worth in the eyes of God. You are a precious daughter of the King, and your identity is not defined by your marital status. In Psalm 34:18, it says,"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is the "husband" mentioned in Isaiah 54:5, "For your Maker is your husband; Yahweh of Armies is his name. The Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer. He is called the God of the whole earth."
We also want to address the feelings of abandonment and rejection you are experiencing. It is important to remember that God will never reject or abandon you. In Psalm 27:10, it says, .."For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but Yahweh will take me up." Even when it feels like everyone else has turned away, God is still there, ready to comfort and support you.
Regarding your financial struggles, we want to encourage you to trust in God's provision. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus reminds us not to worry about what we will eat or drink or wear, but to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. God knows your needs, and He will provide for you in His own way and timing. We will pray for God's wisdom and guidance as you navigate your financial situation.
Lastly, we want to remind you that your hope and purpose are found in Jesus Christ alone. It is only by faith in Jesus' life, death, and resurrection that we can be saved and have eternal life. Colossians 3:1-4 says, "If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, our life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory" It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. In Acts 4:12, it says,.."There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today, lifting up our sister in need. Lord, she feels forsaken, humiliated, and rejected, but we know that You will never leave her nor forsake her. We pray for Your comfort and peace to surround her in this dark hour. We pray for her husband, that his heart would turn back to her and to You. We pray for Your provision and guidance in her financial struggles. We pray that You would heal her broken heart and restore her hope and purpose in You. We also pray that her daughter will be protected from negativity and be able to see the saving grace of Jesus. We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We urge you to stay strong in the faith and encouraged all the more to turn to Jesus in prayer as the source and solution to all your problems. The name of Jesus should be a source of encouragement to you and never forgotten or intentionally not mentioned like we notice in your prayer request. Jesus is your Saviour and His Father is your Father as well. Turn to Him in prayer and make sure to tell your daughter every day to put her two flat feet on the floor, look heavenward, and say Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Your Name!
