Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Rushley and their family during this difficult time of loss. We pray for comfort and strength to surround them as they grieve the passing of their beloved father. Lord, we ask that You would bring peace to their hearts and assurance of Your presence in the midst of their pain.
Father, we also lift up the eternal destiny of Rushley's dad. We pray that if he had not yet accepted Jesus as his Savior, that in his final moments, he may have encountered Your saving grace. We ask for Your mercy and forgiveness to be extended to him, that he may have found salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
Lord, Your Word reminds us in Romans 10:9, "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." We claim this promise for Rushley's dad, trusting in Your unfailing love and grace to reach him even in his last moments.
We also pray for Rushley and their family, that You would surround them with Your love and peace. Comfort them in their grief and remind them of the hope we have in Christ, knowing that one day they will be reunited with their father in Your eternal presence.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
