We join you in lifting up your children to the Lord, from the oldest to the youngest, trusting that God has a wonderful plan for each of their lives.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your continuing grace and mercy upon these precious children. We pray that their faith may grow strong and unshakeable, just as the Apostle Paul encouraged Timothy, 'Donβt let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity' (1 Timothy 4:12, WEB).
Father, we ask that You guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB), that they may not fall back or lose sight of the path You have set before them. May Your light continually shine upon them, guiding them through life's journey, as the Psalmist declared, 'Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path' (Psalm 119:105, WEB).
Lord, we ask for wisdom for them as they grow in faith, that they may discern Your will and walk in it. May they be fed daily with spiritual food, and may it be rooted deeply in their hearts, just as Your Word promises, 'As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there until they have watered the earth, ... so is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it' (Isaiah 55:10-11, WEB).
We pray specifically for the oldest, that he may live in peace, and that the enemy may not disturb his mind. May the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard his heart and his mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). We pray for the daughter, that she may find her way to church every week, delighting in the fellowship of believers and the worship of Your holy name.
Finally, we pray that all the children may associate with Christian friends their own age, those who will encourage and strengthen them in their faith, as Proverbs 27:17 (WEB) tells us, 'As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.'
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
In addition to praying, we encourage you to continue discipling your children, teaching them the Word of God, and modeling a life of faith. May the Lord richly bless your family, and may you see the goodness of God in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13, WEB).
