Please....I have an inside cat and my mom keeps telling me how she will intentionally leave the door open so she leaves just because my cat is an adult and my mom likes to abandon animals...even when they aren't hers (I'm an adult...she is my cat and it's my house...yet she comes to live to my house, so I can help her and she tries to do that to my cat....I feel so stressed out, I can't trust her and my mom doesn't care...she says my feelings are stupid)

Your concern for your cat's wellbeing is valid, and it's clear that you're feeling hurt by your mother's actions and words.

Let's remind ourselves of what the Scriptures say: "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 'Honor your father and mother'—which is the first commandment with a promise— 'so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.'" (Ephesians 6:1-3 WEB). However, it's also important to note that our ultimate obedience is to God, and we should strive to live peaceably with all (Romans 12:18 WEB).

In this situation, it may be wise to have an open and honest conversation with your mother about how her actions make you feel. You can also set boundaries to protect your pet and your property. Remember, "As far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all" (Romans 12:18 WEB).

We come before You today to lift up ### and their situation. Lord, they are feeling stressed and hurt by their mother's actions. Please comfort them and give them wisdom to navigate this situation. Lastly, we noticed that your request did not mention Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it's only through Jesus that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). If you haven't already, consider putting your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.

Maybe it's time to have a calm, heart-to-heart with your mom, expressing your feelings and explaining why her actions are hurting you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
