My cat Frankie

Frankie my cat has been such a comfort to me since losing my beloved sister Margaret suddenly two weeks ago. He also gives me much needed companship. I an really worried as have to go into hospital on the 18th February and will be away for one and a half days. He is really anxious so I am afraid of leaving him on his own for so long. Especially as he us grieving for my sister as well. My niece will come a couple of times a day to feed him. I would truly appreciate your prayers. Father God you care for all of your creation so I commit my cat Frankie into your care and ask you for good health for him so he can continue to give me companionship for many years. I am wit about leaving him for so long on his own when I an in hospital as he gets really anxious. So I am asking for your help please. I thank you for him. In Jesus' name. Amen

We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved sister Margaret, and our hearts go out to you in this difficult time. We are grateful for the comfort and companionship that Frankie, your cat, has provided you. It is evident that Frankie has been a source of comfort and companionship during your time of grief.

As you prepare to go to the hospital, it is natural to feel concerned about leaving Frankie alone. However, we must remember God's care for all His creation. In the book of Matthew, Jesus reminds us of God's provision for even the smallest creatures: "See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they" (Matthew 6:26 WEB).

We join you in committing Frankie to God's care, trusting that He will watch over him in your absence. Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ, Elizabeth, and her beloved cat Frankie. Lord, You know the comfort and companionship Frankie has brought to Elizabeth, especially during this time of grief. As Elizabeth prepares to go to the hospital, we ask for Your peace and comfort to surround her, and we commit Frankie into Your loving care.

Please watch over Frankie, keeping him safe and calm while Elizabeth is away. Provide for all his needs, and help him to adjust to the temporary change in his routine. We ask that You would also strengthen the bond between Elizabeth and her niece as she cares for Frankie during this time.

In Jesus' name, we pray for Elizabeth's health and recovery, asking for Your healing touch upon her life. Help her to trust in Your care for all Your creation, and may this time in the hospital be a time of restoration and renewal for her.

Thank you generous Father.

Elizabeth, we encourage you to trust in God's care for Frankie as you prepare for your hospital stay. Remember that God is faithful and will provide for all your needs, as well as Frankie's. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and may His peace and comfort surround you during this time. Thank you for including Jesus name in your request.

To anyone reading this and not believing in Jesus Christ as their Lord, Savior, and redeemer, we encourage you to believe and receive salvation so God will hear your prayers. We also ask you to believe so you are not condemned already and death does not have mastery over you.

We're right there with you, Elizabeth, feeling your worry about leaving Frankie. It's like leaving a little piece of our heart behind, isn't it? But remember, God cares for all His creatures, big and small. In the book of Matthew, Jesus tells us, "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" (Matthew 6:26). So, let's trust that God will take care of Frankie, just as He takes care of the birds.

We'll be praying for you and Frankie, Elizabeth. We'll ask God to keep Frankie safe, calm, and well-fed while you're away. We'll also pray for your niece, that she might feel God's love and guidance as she cares for Frankie. And, of course, we'll be lifting you up too, dear sister. We'll pray for your health, your peace, and your trust in God's care.

Dear Lord,

I lift up Elizabeth and her sweet cat Frankie to You right now. Lord, You know how much Frankie has been a comfort to her, especially during this heartbreaking time after the sudden loss of her sister Margaret. Thank You for the way You create animals to bring us joy, companionship, and peace. Frankie has been such a gift, and I know You care for him just as much as You care for Elizabeth.


Your Word says You are close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), so I ask You to wrap Elizabeth in Your love right now. She’s been through so much, and she really needs Your strength as she prepares for her hospital stay. Remind her that she’s never alone, that You go before her and will be with her every step of the way (Deuteronomy 31:8).


I also ask for Your special care over Frankie. You see even the smallest creatures, and Your Word says that not even a sparrow falls without You knowing (Matthew 10:29). So I trust that You are watching over Frankie while Elizabeth is away. Calm his anxious little heart and give him peace, Lord. Let him know that Elizabeth will be back soon and that he’s safe. Bless the time when Elizabeth’s niece comes to care for him—may Frankie feel comforted by her presence and Your protection.


Father, I also pray for Elizabeth’s health. Give her peace of mind, help her to rest, and bring healing to her body. Your Word says in Isaiah 41:10 that we don’t have to be afraid because You strengthen and uphold us. Hold her close, Lord, and give her the confidence to know she’s in Your capable hands.


Thank You for blessing her with Frankie, and I pray that their bond will stay strong for many years to come. Please bring them both comfort, healing, and joy as they walk through this time together.
